About MODERN KISAN
Our first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru said early in 1948, "everything else can wait but not AGRICULTURE”. Grateful to the fusion of technology, services, and public policies, the country has altered itself from solicitation to one which occupies the second position in terms of production in several major crops.
But the time now we are living in, everything is upgraded and wholesome. Agriculture being so large is yet abandoned in the race of advancement. “Modern Kisan” is one initiative that caters to the needs of the agricultural economy and farmers. Bringing everything to their doorstep, including products and information, it also focuses on transparency, efficiency, and accountability.
Despite the fact that most of them are marginal and small farmers, Indian farmers are second in production and productivity. Our farmers go hand in hand with the latest technological advancements and give tough competition to the ones in developed countries. The rock to their balloon is the inadequate inputs such as fertilizers, seeds, pesticides and unjust credit by non-institutional sources. With the availability of these, our farmers can ensure food and nutritional security to the Nation.
This new initiative –“Modern Kisan” facilitates concerned supply and demand parties of an agricultural economy, with everything under a single platform, with a single click while taking into account every modern technique and old needs.
“Modern Kisan” has taken an initiative to educate our farmers with various new techniques and tools, products and much more information that would help them grow, hence giving wings to their dreams. It deals with the following aspects of agriculture:
Irrigational needs; Farming add-ons, agricultural machinery, and tools.

Furthermore, it takes up the responsibility of minimizing the wastage, offering cost-time benefits and hence improving efficiency. It does this through a convenient method of rationalizing the product price on this real-time, complete & efficient medium of transactions, giving a chance of searching through wide-range of products & services of both input & output sides of the extra large Indian agricultural economy.
If we take a look deep into the scheme, this is benefitting to both the farmers and the other side of the market. Farmers can get the knowledge of ultra modern techniques and a medium to access these with the various schemes and provisions. They may use the provision of cold storage being provided or loans at minimal interests and so more. Whereas, for another end of the largely agricultural economy, robust and cost-time minimization, reducing, the entire transaction process, are the pros to the program.
India lacks cold storage, food packaging as well as safe and efficient rural transport system. This causes one of the world's highest food spoilage rates, particularly during monsoons and other adverse weather conditions. Food travels to the Indian consumer through a slow and inefficient chain of traders. To help farmers overcome all these hurdles and provide our society with better food quality, Modern Kisan has taken the initiative. Modern Kisan provides all the significant information encircling latest Technologies, solutions, exhibitions and demonstrations of equipment, tools, the sale of quality agricultural inputs.
